This one-year course will introduce the student to microcomputer hardware, software, and the necessary skills to maintain and support microcomputer systems. Classroom and laboratory instruction will include hands-on experience with the components of microcomputer systems and subsystems. Students will learn workstation-troubleshooting procedures and utilize diagnostic tools. Prerequisites for this course are successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in Computer Science 1, Computer Applications, or Keyboarding. It is strongly recommended that students have successfully completed or be concurrently enrolled in Algebra 1. |
